Hey everyone, my names Harry, and I have been elected as one of your school captains for 2024. I have been at Churchill Kurnai since yr7, and have been blessed with dozens of opportunities to step outside my comfort zone and improve myself. Opportunities like community projects, the School for Student Leadership, and job opportunities have all opened my eyes and changed my perspective on the world around me, and I hope to bring this newfound confidence and inspiration to my role.
I’m looking forward to the people I will meet and the opportunities that will open for me throughout this role. As a student at Churchill Kurnai, I have been through a lot with the rest of the year 10s. We all have faced covid which proved challenging as we had to adapt to the new environment. Although we had covid as a challenge, I’m grateful to have an increase in resilience, created new memories and made some lifelong mates through new experiences. I sincerely hope as school captain to make sure that you all have a spectacular and fulfilling year of 2024!
