Dear members of our school community,
Today we had some very sad news. Unfortunately, Glen Stephenson, Year 9 Team Leader at the Churchill Campus, passed away yesterday following a road accident. Glen was a loved and highly regarded member of our school community and we will miss his presence at our school. It is important that we remember and honour Glen in our own way, and that we support each other with feelings of sadness and upset that we may experience as well as remembering the happiness he brought to our school.
We have informed the students who are at school today about Glen’s passing.
Information is available on understanding how children think about death as well as how to support your child. I have attached a link below to a fact-sheet that may be useful. School routine is important for all children, and we believe that your child’s attendance at school will be important over the coming days and weeks. If your child is experiencing a high level of distress, parents are best placed to be able to provide the nurture and care children need to manage their distress at this time and you may choose to keep your child home.

If there is any way we can help you or your children at this time, please contact your campus office. From today, our wellbeing staff and social worker/psychologists from the Department of Education and Training are onsite to support our students and school community.
Yours sincerely,
Anthony Rodaughan
College Principal
