VET Sport and Recreation

This course is geared toward students gain real employment at its completion, as well as throughout.

VET Sport and Recreation is a unique course that can be a contributor towards a VCE student's ATAR score or can be a key component of VCAL. Sport and Recreation is a multimodal course, combining both industry specific theory and up to date practical sessions for students. The course is scheduled over two years, giving students a wide range of industry standard practices and networking opportunities along the way.

At Kurnai College, all students enrolled in Sport and Recreation have the opportunity to complete their First Aid certificate, as well as the Pool Lifeguard certificate in their first year. They will also participate in surfing and rock climbing adventures throughout the year.

In second year, students will be shown how to write a training program and set up and run instructional and non-instructional physical activity sessions.
